Joy Ann P. Santos, MSc, is a University Researcher at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, National Institutes of Health in the University of the Philippines. Joy Ann Santos is a co-developer of the GenAmplify™ COVID-19 rRT-PCR Detection Kit – a test kit for detecting positive cases of coronavirus.
Fe del Mundo: The Revolutionary Pediatrician
The late Doctor Fe Villanueva del Mundo, OLD ONS GCGH, was a Filipino pediatrician who revolutionized medicine in the Philippines. She was born on the 27th day of November in 1911 and died on the 7th of August in 2011. She established the first ever pediatric hospital, the Children’s Medical Center, in the Philippines.
